The MxL Induction Heating System started with vertical and deviated applications in heavy and waxy oil. It has also been used successfully in methane hydrate applications. Vertical systems can be made contiguous or segmented depending on the pay zone(s) configuration. Our P.E.P.S. software has been updated constantly as new data comes in and our knowledge-base expands.

Inductor Tool Assemblies for a vertical or deviated well vary depending on formation and casing size. An ITA can accommodate multiple pay zones however it is the casing diameter and type and perforations determine the ITA size. In designing our ITA for a 7 inch casing we will typically use a 4 1/2 inch ITA diameter. For 5 inch casing a 3 1/2 inch ITA diameter is recommended. This ensures the magnetic coupling of our induction heater to the casing allowing maximum efficiency. Larger ITA and even a probe style ITA have been developed and successfully tested in off-shore situations.
